ALRA has two TV studios, each equipped for the filming of set-based drama and TV presenting.
TV1 is a recently renovated basement studio with a number of unique features including a balcony, raised floor area with bar, a small office and internal/external doors and steps. These features make it an ideal setting for filming both short dramas and TV presentation pieces. The Harlequin floor is perfect for camera dollies and track.
TV2 is a generously sized, soundproof TV studio, equipped with lighting, camera dollies and a separate studio gantry. The gantry can be fitted with an Edirol V4 Vision Mixer for dual camera real-time editing.
All of ALRA's studio equipment is HD and includes a full range of Sony camera equipment including the Sony A1E, the Sony Z1 and our most recent addition the Sony Z7. All cameras are cross compatible and options for DV or Compact Flash recording are also available.
A Proprompter Autocue is available and is one of the few portable, camera mountable autocues on the market, allowing students to experience conditions 'in the field' and to work out of the studio in almost any location suitable to their work.
