Greece and Sparta are grinding each other down in war, and the women are sick of it. Together they come up with a plan to force the soldiers into submission; they resolve to stop having sex with their men until peace is declared.

Lysistrata and her team take over the bath house and wait for the sexual tension to reach breaking point…

The figure of Edgar Allan Poe dominates the American Gothic. His terrifying stories still grip the modern imagination, entering popular culture in retellings by Punchdrunk, and even the Simpsons.

The dark side of the nineteenth-century psyche is exposed in these tales, and nerves are stretched to breaking point. Black cats and ravens stalk through them - eerie symbols of guilt and madness.

Poe’s stories of mystery and imagination are winding and crooked; often even the narrator is not to be trusted…
