Format of the Day
The day starts at 12pm with a welcome in the theatre from our Principal. You visit a variety of classes, after which you are able to look around the building and meet staff and students for tea and biscuits.
The second part of the day commences at 2.30pm with a showing of a full length play performed by our graduating third year students. Following the viewing, those who are interested in either the BA (Hons) Acting course or MA Professional Acting course have the opportunity to meet the performers for a question and answer session and those who are interested in the Stage Management and Technical Theatre Foundation Degree course are able to meet the course director and the current stage management students and are given a backstage tour.
The whole day will finish at approximately 5pm – 5.30pm. If you would like lunch on the day, there is a restaurant on-site as well as shops nearby, however you may find it more convenient to bring along a packed lunch.
If you are interested in applying for the Stage Management and Technical Theatre Foundation Degree course and would like to pay us a visit before submitting your application, please email info@alra.co.uk or call the main office on 020 8870 6475 to arrange a suitable time for an individual meeting with the course co-ordinator.
