ALRA announces affiliation with Full Body and the Voice
ALRA (The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts) is pleased to announce its affiliation with Full Body and the Voice.
Full Body and the Voice is a theatre company for learning disabled actors and offers workshops and training in the performing arts.
As part of its affiliation process ALRA will validate Full Body and the Voice’s two year actor training course and will issue an ALRA Certificate in Acting to graduating students.
Clive Duncan Programmes Director at ALRA says “to achieve this, students will be assessed at various agreed points over the two years by Full Body and the Voice and ALRA tutors, against the learning outcomes in course specifications”.
ALRA will also host a two week summer school residency for students from Full Body and the Voice between July 6th and September 11th 2009. The summer school programme will include working in the television and radio studio with specialist tutors/directors.
In addition ALRA will also arrange with their tutors to take occasional workshops at Full Body and the Voice and to allow the use of ALRA Theatre for a London Showcase/venue.
