PAUL HARRIS

Paul Harris is a leading choreographer in film, television and theatre, who's best known choreography to date, is probably the laser scenes for Catherine Zeta-Jones in the Hollywood blockbuster 'Entrapment'. He has also coached and choreographed for Oscar, BAFTA, Tony and Emmy Award winning actors including, Sean Connery, Gary Oldman, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon, Daniel Radcliffe, Robert Lindsay, Sam Neill and Charles Dance

Other choreography and movement direction credits in film and television include the BAFTA winning ' Bleak House' and 'The Way We Live Now', the BAFTA nominated 'To the Ends of the Earth' and 'The Sins', 'Jane Eyre' for the BBC, 'Cheatah Girls 2' for Disney, 'Poirot', 'A Touch of Frost', 'William and Mary', 'My Family', 'The Quest 2', 'I was a Rat', and 'The Tichborne Claimant'. Forthcoming productions yet to be released include 'The Other Boleyn Girl' with Scarlett Johanssen and Natalie Portman, 'Love and Other Disasters' staring Brittney Murphy, Gwyneth Paltrow and Orlando Bloom, 'Mister Lonely'' with Samantha Morton and most notably Paul has just completed extensive choreography for 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' to be released July 2007.

Paul is the author of 'Salsa and Merengue - The Essential Step by Step Guide' and also the standard technique book for study for Professional examinations in Merengue, Salsa and Mambo for three British Dance Council teaching organisations. He also wrote the course guide for Acting BA's in both Historical and 19th & 20th Century Social Dance for the UKA (United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing) - of which he is a Fellow and Examiner. Paul is an Actors Centre tutor and has been a guest dance tutor for the Royal Shakespeare Company. He was also the main mentor in the 'Kick Boxer to Dancer' episode of the multi award winning 'Faking It'. Paul has devised courses for, and taught at, ALRA, Central School of Speech and Drama, Mountview Academy of Theatre Art and, Italia Conti.

His work is a natural combination of his two backgrounds. He studied acting at drama school himself and on graduating worked extensively in theatre and television including national tours and three West End productions. Prior to this, Paul was the UK, West European and International Champion in both Ballroom and Latin American Dancing.
